We also pro-actively deploy risk-reduction tools such as Safety Management Systems (SMS) in all our activities.
A worldwide company
Committed to providing its customers with the most comprehensive and reliable support, the company maintains 13 sites worldwide, offering proximity services and distinct levels of MRO. Nearly 100 Field Representatives and Field Technicians contribute to this surprisingly local network, which also features partnerships with 13 non-Safran repair and overhaul centers, 44 distributors and certified maintenance centers (CMC). CMC employ certified tools and equipment to provide maintenance and overhaul services for at least one Safran model.

80 years of engine excellence
Safran Helicopter Engines takes great pride in its record of nearly 80 years' experience building helicopter engines. Originally known as Turbomeca, the company was founded in 1938 by a Polish engineer, Joseph Szydlowski. In 1955 a Turbomeca Artouste was inside the Alouette II, the first serial-produced turbine-powered helicopter in the world.
Since its foundation, the company has produced 72,000 units. In 2015, the company celebrated 100 million hours flown by these engines.
