Certain engines in the Safran Helicopter Engines range have been developed in partnership with other engine manufacturers. Safran Helicopter Engines leads developments with partners such as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited in India and Avic Engines.
The Ardiden 3C engine is developed in partnership with Avic Engines in China, where it is named WZ16. The Ardiden 1H1 engine is produced under license by HAL under the name "Shakti".
Safran Helicopter Engines has also developed the Adour jet engine with Rolls-Royce under a partnership established in 1965.
